As you cower in the darkness
in the bed
a vampire
fearing the sun that scorches your eyes
fearing the solitude, and yet
addicted.
I walk across the skybridge
and think of you
a vampire
since the loss of the one
with whom you chanted your vows.
I wish to cut out a piece of sky
no sun, no moon, no clouds
just sky
like the one
Remedios drifts into, with her white sheets.
In solitude
In peace
And hang it in your room
So that you
no longer a vampire
may someday wish
to stand under the sky
in solitude
but with life.
